•Plan N does not pay the Part B annual deductible of $ 162.00 once per year.
•Plan N does not pay the Part B excess when you see a provider that does not accept Medicare Assignment.
•Plan N includes Foreign Travel Emergency benefits.
•Plan N has a copay of no more than $20 for a doctor's office visit and $50 for an emergency room visit if not admitted to the hospital.
•Plan N pays the $ 1132.00 Part A Deductible.
•Plan N includes the Basic Benefits, pays the Part A deductible and includes the Skilled Nursing Coinsurance.
•Plan N includes the hospice coinsurance not paid by Medicare.
•Bottom Line: Plan N is an excellent cost efficient choice instead of a Medicare Advantage plan and for those who are not interested in seeing a provider who does not take Medicare assignment. Plan N is also a good choice for someone who has missed the guarantee issue or open enrollment period since we do have some insurance companies who only ask the end stage renal disease (ESRD) question and will issue the policy.
